Ashley Kagey

Ashley S. Kagey graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2020, magna cum laude, where she was an honors scholarship recipient and received Certificates of Merit in Torts I, Torts II, Contracts II, and Criminal Procedure. In law school she was the Managing Editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review and an intern at the Sixty Plus Estate Planning Clinic. Ashley focuses her law practice on probate and trust administration, probate litigation, Medicaid planning, elder law, estate planning, and guardianships and conservatorships, including for minors. Ashley is a member of Probate and Estate Planning and Elder Law and Disability Rights sections of the State Bar of Michigan. She is a board member of the Greater Lansing Estate Planning Council, and a member of the Probate Section of the Ingham County Bar Association. She frequently presents on topics involving Medicaid Planning, Elder Law, and Probate issues. Ashley is originally from Okemos and completed her undergraduate degree at Michigan State University. She lives in Okemos with her husband and three daughters.
